Viscri - Braşov : 75 kms

I left Viscri late on the morning. I took my romanian breakfast, thanked the family of the house and began to walked outside of the village. I still wasn't outside that I heard a car behind me. I tried, without out hope, but why not.
The car stopped, a man with sunglass and nice cloths stepped out and asked me in english:

-Where are you going ?
- I'm trying to reach Braşov.
- It's ok, put your bag inside.

And then it was, in the car of a business man who drove me in Braşov more quickly that I could expect it !

I arrived in the city center just after midday, and began to search for a place to sleep.
In my tourist guid, the cheapest hostel was the Kismet Dao, a youth hostel, not that far from the touristy streets of the city. I found it quickly, and yes, it was cheap.

40 lei the night, in a dormitory. At this time, 40 lei was equal to 11€.  I don't think I can find cheaper !

For 11€, I had a bed in a dormitory, a free drink for each night, a free breakfast, a free internet access, and the most important, a free laundry ! We just had to put our cloths the morning in a basket, and at the end of the day, they were lying, folded, clean and dry on a table in the TV room ! You couldn't expect a better service !

While I was in the youth hotel, I saw a announcement for a day trip to 3 castles, including the famous Bran castle, for a good price. I registered and paid :  I wanted to see these castles when I first arrived in Romania, so this was the perfect plan.

Then, I just spend my day in the city, taking pictures, and finally came back to the hotel, where some people choose to watch American History X. I joined them before going to bed, late.

Braşov also is a late-medieval city build by the Saxons. It was divided in two part: the walled city (on the foreground of the following picture), reserved to the Saxons, and the disctrict of Schei (on the background, left) , for the Romanians.
Some of the city walls remains, as well as some bastions and city gates.
